At Dalvay By The Sea, we offer our guests a wide variety of luxurious and spacious rooms. Each room is furnished in period antiques and includes a four-piece bath. The rooms offer views of our grounds or Dalvay Lake. We have 25 guest rooms in our Main Inn.
For a truly relaxing getaway, there are no televisions, phones, or radios in our Main Inn guest rooms. Dalvay By The Sea also offers a fully smoke-free environment in all guest rooms, cottages and inside public areas. Wireless internet is available throughout the property including our cottages at no additional fee.

We receive many questions from our clients about hours, cancellations, refunds and more. Here, you can find answers for some of the frequently asked questions.
Q: What are the reservation hours of your rooms and cottage?
A: Reservations office hours:
June-October (In Season): 24 hrs – daily
October-May (Off Season): 8:30 am- 5:00 pm Monday through Friday
Please note: The above times are in Atlantic Standard Time (one hour ahead of EST).
Please note: There is a 2-night minimum for Cottage stays. Call us directly to reserve a cottage: 1-888-366-2955.
Q: Does your rooms and cottages need a deposit or a payment in advance?
A: Please note: one night’s stay, plus applicable taxes will be required upon booking. The deposit is fully refundable if cancelled within the cancellation policy for your reserved room type (please see below for Cancellation Policy).
Q: How can I cancel my bookings?
A: Refunds will be made only if cancellations are done prior to 48 hours of arrival dates. A guest who checks out before the last day of the reservation will be required to pay for the days reserved in full.
Please note that cottages have a separate cancellation policy. Should you cancel your cottage reservation within two weeks of arrival a charge of the first night’s room rate will be charged to the credit card on file.
We realize that situations may arise necessitating cancellation within this period and we do sympathize, however, we must maintain our business policy due to the limited season and high accommodation demands.
Q: What are the check-in and check-out timings?
A: Check-in: 3:00 PM
Check-out: 11:00 AM

Q: Do you allow pets?
A: Pets are allowed in selected units. Some pet size and type restrictions may apply. Please contact us for more information.
Q: Is smoking allowed in your premises?
A: Dalvay By The Sea, as with all public buildings on PEI, is smoke-free. However, smoking is permitted at least 5 metres away from any entrance.
Q: Can I arrive later or depart earlier than our reserved dates?
A: Guests who arrive after their confirmed arrival date, or who depart before their confirmed departure date will be held responsible for their rooms unless we are able to sell their accommodation for the full period originally booked.
Q: If I don’t use a part of a package, can I receive a refund?
A: Dalvay By The Sea shall not be held liable or responsible for non-utilization of package components or loss of recreational opportunities due to weather, safety issues or any circumstances beyond our control. Please see the on-duty manager for any clarifications.
