Washington Post

  • ...a rare remainder of old-fashioned grace on the north shore of Canada's Prince Edward Island.

New York Times - Where to Stay

Luxury! Located in the national park overlooking a quiet lake and across the road from an alluring stretch of beach. This Tudor fantasy, lavishly paneled with honey-coloured cedar, has an expansive lawn dotted with Adirondack chairs; the 26 guest rooms and 8 contemporary cottages are pleasantly furnished with summer cottage antiques and reproductions.

The dining room has a fabulous view of the water; early evening, it's a family atmosphere, couples dine later. Appetizers include steamed island mussels, pheasant terrine and asparagus veloute. Entrées include filet mignon, Atlantic Salmon and chicken stuffed with porcini mushrooms. Dalvay is famous for its Sticky Date pudding.
