Are there fees for entering the National Park?

Since Dalvay is located along the beautiful beaches in the Prince Edward Island National Park there are fees to enter. The fees are a daily charge for use of the park and park facilities including the hotel. We do not include these fees in our rates since some guests enter at times when the park offices are closed for the day. Is there a dress code for the dining room?
"Smart Casual" is acceptable for our dining room for dinner - jackets and ties are not required. Golf shirts, dress shorts for men, golf wear, shorts and dresses for ladies and summer footwear are acceptable.  During the day,  casual dress or cycle wear is fine also. Shirts and shoes must always be worn.

Do you have rooms with a jacuzzi?
We have some rooms available with antique clawfoot soaker bath tubs/ shower combos  and some with regular bath tubs, but no jacuzzis.

Is there air-conditoning?
As a historic site we are not set up with air-conditioning.  Each room comes equipped with a fan and there are ceiling fans in our three-bedroom cottages and our third floor rooms.  All windows open to attract the onshore breeze that is usually prevalent during the day at Dalvay in summer.

Do you have rooms with fireplaces?
We have three-bedroom cottages available with propane fireplaces.  There are two large fireplaces in our main lounge and lobby areas available for guest use, but no fireplaces in individual rooms.

Do your cottages have cooking facilities?
Our cottages do not have cooking facilities.  Breakfast is  included in daiy  cottage rates and dinner may also be added as a  package por sgined for A la carte..  Other meals - lunch or tea - can be signed to cottages also. Each cottage does have a coffee maker, tea kettle and supplies, as well as a small fridge for keeping snacks and drinks.

Where can I smoke while I am at Dalvay?
Dalvay - as with all public buildings on PEI - is smoke-free. Smoking is permitted on our large outside verandahs or  lawns - ashtrays are available at the bar and front desk. We also offer a selection of Cuban Cigars for your outdoor enjoyment 

Do you allow pets?
We do not allow pets at the resort. We can recommend some excellent pet-sitting and boarding options nearby.

May I arrive later or depart earlier than your stated dates?
Guests who arrive after their confirmed arrival date, or who depart before their confirmed departure date will forfeit their deposit unless we are able to sell their accommodation for the full period originally booked.  Please check reservation and cancellation policies

If I miss a meal, can I get a refund for that part of the package?
We will provide a $30.00 credit per adult ($20.00 per child) toward your room/cottage rates for dinner only (with  advance notice).  There are no credits for breakfast missed during your stay.

If I don't use a part of a package, can I receive a refund?
Dalvay shall not become liable or responsible for non-utilization of package components or loss of recreational opportunities due to weather, safety issues or any circumstances beyond our control.  Please see the on-duty  manager for any clarifications.
